IT’S RAINING AGAIN!!!
As I write this, the heavens are fully open. Flooding is likely to occur in some areas! Not only can rainwater harvesting reduce the risk of flooding, but can also save you money! Many businesses in particular, could save significant sums if they installed rainwater harvesting systems. It also qualifies for Enhanced Capital Allowances, making it even more financially viable.

Barry Nutley has recently been offered (and accepted) the role of “Facilitator for the Ambassadors for Medway Regeneration”. This is a part time role, and involves coordinating/coaching a team of over 35 Ambassadors who’s role is to “spread the word” on the, current, plans for the regeneration of the Medway towns.

Did you know that the Carbon Trust are offering interest free loans of between £3,000 and £400,000 for SME’s installing energy efficient technologies?? This does not just apply to renewables, but also to other heating appliances, lighting, insulation and many other technologies. The loans are designed to “pay for themselves”. To give you an idea: a loan of £4,000 could be given to a company for the installation of a technology/product that would make savings of £1,000 per annum, and could be paid over 4 years. Effectively, this costs the company nothing! This may sound too good to be true, but, I have seen the math, and it works!

DON’T BUY SOLAR THERMAL (FOR HOT WATER!) YET!!!
This may seem like a strange statement to make from someone in this business? But, it’s true! Solar thermal, is the most competitive market, currently, within the renewable industry. Many “salespeople” adopt double glazing “style” sales tactics, by over hyping savings, and over stating installation costs. Also, changes to the law may mean that if you install a system now, you could miss out on additional payments!
