Viridis’s brokerage service saves Surrey Police over 13% on Solar PV Installation!

Surrey Police initially contacted Viridis for independent advice on the viability to install Solar PV to a number of their buildings.

They already have Solar PV installed to their Surrey HQ, but this was installed before the Feed in Tariff, so they do not receive any FIT payments.

They are aware of the FIT, but wanted to know the financial implications if they were to install PV to some of their other buildings.

They turned to Viridis for help. Initially, we  surveyed their respective sites, calculated the size of systems that could be installed, and provided detailed cost analysis so they could make an informed decision on the viability of each of the properties.

Realising that they could achieve financial returns in excess of 10% in the first year, they asked us to manage a tender process to find, not only the cheapest system, but also the most cost effective system – many people don’t realise that there can be a huge difference in performance of, seemingly, comparable systems?

As a consequence, we have managed to save Surrey Police in excess of £4000 (13%) on their installation costs!
